Fast page layout using Teresa Collins Fabrications Linen

One of the things I love about the new lines is all of the versatility and how you can use them.

This is a super fast page, you can make this page in 20 min or less!!

I love that it is also monochromatic!! Just something a little different from me :)

Supplies: Green Brocade (back), Green Fleur de Lis (back) and tan damask (back), pretty flowers, die cut card stock, card stock stickers & Gentry's Glitter. Misc: cream card stock, black ink, large clear brad, numbers stamp for year.

The back side of the Green Brocade will be your base.
Cut Tan Damask back side 6.5 x 8 and adhere to page just left of center.
Cut the back side of Green fleur de Lis into a 1.5 x 9 inch strip and ink around the edges in black and adhere over the hounds tooth pattern with more hanging over the bottom than the top.
Add your photo (mat it on cream card stock).
Cut cream and black flowers from pretty flowers paper and add Gentry's glitter to centers then adhere to page along edge of the 9 inch strip.
Overlap the long thin black patterned border sticker covering edges of flowers.
Cut red flower off of left side of black and cream label sticker, add your year and adhere under photo.
Overlap "a day in the life" onto black patterned circle die cut, add brad and attach to page above photo.
Add fleur de lis banner sticker to upper right and you are done!

I love it so much I will be making this as a kit soon for my friend over at The Hens Den. She has a couple of my other kits, but I can not wait to finish this one, again, lol!!

Teresa Collins Stampmaker - FAMILY Canvas project

This was my fist time playing with canvas, other than a couple of classes I had taken from Quick Quotes a few years ago where we made scrapbook wall art. It was completely outside of my normal comfort zone but once I started I was having so much fun I couldn't decide when to STOP adding more layers of stamps!!

Here are some the stamps that I used:

To start I painted the canvas in layers of the pink and white. Then added some ink to give some depth. After I created the stamps I started layering them using the different colors of red and pinks. I added some gems in the centers of some of the stamped images. I created a ruffled flower and added a jewel button in the center. Then inked a few select stamps in black for the high contrast. I loved creating this, it was so fun!!

I love Valentines... ok, truth: I love the chocolate that comes along with the day!

Making fun little valentines cards is pretty fun too!

The January free monthly download was full of fun little valentine stamps to create with and is what I used to create the card. Click on the above link for the free pdf monthly download or go directly to the TC Stampmaker website to obtain your free copy.

First you will want to create all of your stamps as I did below:

Then you will want to create all of your layers:

The white base stamped with "I love you" border measures 5 3/4 x 5 3/4
I then cut a paper bag 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 using a wavy blade trimmer stamped the hearts and the large I {heart} U in the upper left and centered it onto the white base.
I cut a 1 1/2 strip of burlap and create a folded banner and glued a 4 inch scallop circle from the new Teresa Collins Spring Fling collection paper: houndstooth
I stamped the tag "will you be my valentine?" onto a book page and trimmed edges, added ribbon and some bling to the top of the tag.
I cut a 2 1/4 inch scallop circle from the TC Spring fling line paper: mixed brocade (side B - dots) then stamped the outlined stiched heart onto it adhearing using 3D foam squares.
I stamped the "xoxo" strip onto white and folded around one of Teresa Collins "Ali's Pins" and adhered behind the heart.
I created little tags from cream craft paper and stamped "QT" & "Kisses", I stapled "QT" with some white ribbon, layered on top of the bottom of the scallop heart. I slid "Kisses" under the lower right of the scallop heart and added a gem.
Adhere your creation onto a black 6 x 6 card and your done!

This was one of my most favorite pictures of E, mainly because she is in a dress, lol!!

This paper line is is so elegant and fun with all of it's colors. I love how easily I can create with it.

I have been using my Cricut Cuttlebug and some spellbinders dies to create flowers, I love how quick and easy it is. I am loving multi layered colored paper flowers!!

Scrapbook layout using new release FABRICATIONS LINEN by Teresa Collins

Fabrications linen is such a great new line! I really like how rich and strong the colors are, creams, greens and reds with the black.... SWOON!

This is one of E's senior pics and I love how well these colors go with her photo's. (Be looking for a new mini book soon!!!)

To create this layout you will start with 12x12 black cardstock as your base.
Cut 1 inch x 11 3/4 strip from “Green Fleur De Lis” Paper side B and adhere to left side of page leaving 1/8 black on left and top/bottom sides of strip to create your "frame".

Create your "column" leave 1/8 strip of black between each of the papers
Cut 5 x 2 3/4 from “Red Quatrefoil” Paper and adhere to top center.

Adhere 5 x 5 photo.

Cut “Green Diamond” Paper 1/2 x 5 and adhere under photo.

Cut “Tan Damask” Paper 1 3/4 x 5 and adhere under your green strip.

Cut “Pretty Flowers” Paper side B.

With remaining side A of “Pretty Flowers” cut a 5 x 11 3/4 strip and adhere to the right side of your paper leaving boarder of 1/8 all around.

Add long border stickers between your long colum and the pretty flowers paper.

Using two strips of the boarders from the die cut sheet, adhere one strip to the left of your column starting at the bottom. With the second one you will need to trim one inch off and adhere to top and adhere the rest to the top of the 1st strip.

Layer the saying in the large black die cut over the upper left of your boarder and then adorn it with some bling.

Alternate mini black and crystal bling into the centers of your die cut boarder on the left of your column.

Choose from your die cuts and stickers to create your grouping on the lower right of the photo. I used pop dots and just layered, layered and layered. Add some bling to complete your grouping.

I then added photo corners in black.

Papers used: FABRICATIONS LINEN: “Green Fleur De Lis” Paper side B, “Green Diamond” Paper, “Red Quatrefoil” Paper, “Tan Damask” Paper, “Pretty Flowers” Paper sides A & B. Linen Stickers, Linen Die Cut Sheet I used 2. Blingage.

I am really loving this new line SPRING FLING by Teresa Collins Designs. It's always so overwhelming in a good way when you open the box of new products. Usually because there is so much eye candy!! ✿

I love this photo of Elisha taken on her 17th birthday last may. She had just cut off all of her long hair and is sporting a new cut and color. Of course, it's blonder now and she is in the process of growing it out. I love how independent she is and just went for it.

I love the "white space" on this layout and all of the layers! I'm in a huge layer, layer, layer phase right now.

I love the pinwheel flower, I added another flower in the center and layered them onto crate paper scallop circles.

I am so super excited about all of the new collections I will get to play with over the next several months. I have been creating up a storm using the collections and I can't tell you a favorite yet.

When I create goodies for CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) I create one item with one collection then move on to the next collection, create something and so on. So much fun! I love the feel of the papers, how thick they are and the texture... LOVE. Today I am going to be playing with Spring Fling (I think!) then get everything ready to ship out so you can see the creations at CHA next week!!

Destination Adventure using World Traveler

I love this paper line World Traveler. This picture of my friend Jen's daughters is just perfect!

WorldTraveler papers used:
Passport (both sides), words,luggage tags (side B), Red Brocade, Film Strip (side B), Geometric (side B),Black Damask
World Traveler stamp Set
Misc: Black ink, Brad, 2sheets black card stock, ThermOWeb 3D foam squares

Prepare pages:
Cut two 1/2 strips from side bof passport paper
Cut a 1 1/4 strip from RedBrocade
Cut out words Destination andAdventure and mat onto black cardstock
Cut 6 7/8 x 9 of green paper
Cut 5 5/8 x 7 5/8 side B offilm strip (creamy damask)
Cut two strips from black cardstock - 2 inch and a 3/4 strip
Cut 8 centers out of the blackdamask shapes to create a flower
Cut random stamp images frompassport paper
Stamp a couple of flur di lisimages onto your red scrap pieces from the other side of the black camask paperwith black ink.
Stamp "not all who wonderare lost onto a scrap piece of paper.

Assembling your page:
1. Attach small green striponto black 3/4 black strip and attach to bottom of page
2. Attach other green strip totop of 2 inch black card stock strip
3. Attach Red Brocade to thebottom of the strip with green and attach to top of page
4. Mat photo onto creamydamask paper, mat damask onto black card stock
5. Attach photo and mat ontogreen paper and mat onto black card stock and attach to upper right of page.
6. Attach Destination to upperright using foam squares
7. Attach Adventure to lowerleft using foam squares
8. Now start placing yourpassport pieces and attaching them to your page.
9. Attach your stamped images"tucking" them under your passport pieces.

To make flower, punch a holeinto bottom - if you have cut them out as shown in photo, there is already asmall circle to mark your spot. Now what I did was just evenly space them forthe sides that will show, it "APPEARS" like the flower is tuckedunder the word Adventure but it's not, I only cut enough for what is showing.Add your brad to the center and attach to your page.

Mini travel album with template instructions

This is a very compact and easy to carry around in your purse kind of journal that you can take with you and add your photo's once you get home. I LOVE THIS, I would USE it and shove it full of ephemera like napkins from a restaurant or receipts from souvenir shopping. I would add postcards to it as well!! I would carry it with me and jot down my journey and you can see how I would do that with this...

For the cover cut and score as shown. When finished your journal album will measure 3.5 by 6 inches. The spine is 1/4 inch wide but completely expandable!! And if you know me at all you know I love a FULLY packed album, lol!! Just a perfect size!

Punch your holes VERY VERY LAST, and if you have one of Teresa's Top 10 favorites, the CropADile you can punch thru all the pages and cover AT ONCE - so slick!!

You can see here how that bottom fold from the template created a pocket to store things until you can adhere them down while you are traveling.

This is a great place to later put your photos!

All of the interior pages are 6 by 3 1/4, the paper from the World Traveler line has rounded corners.

I created these tag pages using some old manila folders and cut them to size. For the circle pieces I cut strips of the Black Glitter paper from the paper line into 1/2 inch strips and rounded the corners, folded them over the tops and then punched the holes for the ribbons to be tied to. I LOVE the texture it adds to it!!

Using the stamp set, I stamped the Fleur de lis in the center of both sides of each tag then randomly used the other stamps as well. I loved that there are day stamps as well, perfect for even weekend getaways!!

Another pocket page, used from the elements paper, perfect for tickets!

I love this World Traveler paper line and all of the goodies to go with it! I have to say, it's one of the lines I just want to HOARD!! It is timeless in my opinion, I love all of the patterns and could easily pick them up years from now and still be just as in love them!!

Happy New Year Card using Teresa Collins Stampmaker

Happy New Year everyone!! I am so excited for 2012 and all the good things that are happening for me and my family. I hope this year brings goodness to you and yours, Cheers!!

I created the layers of the card then stamped 2012 as my background in a blue ink. I then stamped the Happy New Year in a darker color, the brown. I love the contrast in this card with the colors and how you can clearly see each stamp yet the do not "compete" with each other but rather COMPLIMENT one another nicely.

Let it Snow Tag using Christmas Home...

I loved all the tags seen on the Teresa Collins Design team blog this last month. I love how each of created such different tags using the same paper line - Christmas Home. So much fun!!

I love this tag, it really makes me smile, I love LOVE love snow!!

I love the 6x6 paper pad, just perfect for cards and tags. I used the snowflakes with the white back ground as my base. I used my Cricut machine and created the tag base with the snowflakes on black back ground and added a half inch strip from the same paper to the top of the tag. I then layered it with the die cut "let it snow" and the red magic tab I used the red photo corners on the bottom to add more color. I cut a one inch strip of the Christmas words for the right side of the base. Tied it with the red glitter tule and the red sparkle ribbon. I added a gem button from Bazzill.

Christmas Home Glitter Tag... did I say Glitter???

I love making fun and layered tags, but nothing is MORE FUN then adding Gentry's Glitter to give it a little more sparkle!

I love all of the layers on this tag. As I cut out each layer I glittered each edge and let dry as I went. For the base tag I used the 6x6 Notes paper and cut to size, I also added from the 6x6 pad the "December" used on the top from the calendar sheet. For the flower I used the 12x12 Notes paper and used blossom three by Spellbinders and ran all the layers and some burlap through my Cricut Cuttlebug and added it to the base using a large green brad.

After I layered December along the top I added "HO HO HO" and the reindeer strip from the die cut sheet to both the top and bottom of the tag, then the quote frame sticker using 3D Foam Squares. I tied the red glittery tulle off with one of Shelley's sparkle stars.

I cut around the word label "naughty or nice" and adhered using 3D foam squares. Slid the circular "Santa" under the left side of the label. Using only one half of the "joy" sticker tab I slid under the upper right of word lable. I finished it off by adding the 25 from the 6x6 calendar page.

Products used:
Christmas Home: 6x6 paper pad - Notes, calendar. Notes, labels, die cuts, brads, trims and stickers.
Blingage: Gentry's Glitter, Shelley's stars
Other: liquid pen glue, ThermOWeb 3D foam squares, burlap, paper reinforcer painted black.

Sparkle Layout using TC Christmas Home

Christmas Home papers used:
Christmas notes, Christmas Damask, Christmas calendar, Christmas Ads
Misc. Paper: Two sheets black card stock, one sheet of red cardstock
blingage: Amy's gems, Stephanie's and Jamie's gems
Misc items: star sparkle pen, red marker and red glitter, ThermOWeb 3d foam squares.

Prepare papers:
Cut top off of calendar paper including the red stripe under the word "December"
Cut left strip off of Christmas Ads paper
Cut 2.5 strip of snowflake paper
Cut out the word/description "Sparkle" from Notes paper

Assemble your page:
1. Color in the word December with star glitter pen, color in dots around border, add red glitter to dots and set aside to dry.
BASE IS ONE of your pieces of black card stock.
2. Add your snowflake strip to the right side of your page. Add Stephanie and Jamie's gems to center of snowflakes (be random and have fun with them.)
3. Cut your black card stock 8 1/2. Add the strip of Ads to the left side 1/4 from the left (leaving a black border on both sides) Add a small red strip to the right side leaving a 1/4 inch black border on the right.
4. Add your photo's leaving a small black border on the left and a red border on the right.
5. Add the snowflake shape to the top left of the bottom photo.
6. Add your Jamie's and Stephanie's gems to the decorative edge next to the word December and attach the strip to the right side of the page.
7. Mat your "sparkle" word to the right side and attach using 3d foam squares.

I love these photo's of April's kids in the snow! She really captured the moment. Thanks April!! ✿

Cricut Craft Room project using Christmas Home

Provo Craft, Cricut Craft room Images used:

It took all of five minutes to fall in love with Cricut Craft room. I am officially hooked!! I love that I could tell instantly on my screen what size to cut each paper for the image I wanted. I loved that I could use several different papers on the same cutting mat!

To start I used a 6 x 9 canvas and layered the 5.5 x 8.5 Holly paper on it, inking in black ink around the edges of each the canvas and then the base paper.

Then I cut all of my paper according to the sizes on the the image on the computer screen and placed them where the images were going to cut on my cutting mat and cut all of the images at once. I love how easy it was!!

After all of the images were cut I snipped the "bow' of the ornament off and flipped it over so the string and bow part are the back side of the "notes" paper.

Then I cut the Holly off, from the "tis the season" third cut from the side B of the labels paper and layered it on top of the 2nd cut in black and added a few red glitter circles to finish it off. From there I completed my layering and adhered the ornament and sentiment using pop dots.

Once you start playing in Cricut Craft room you may become as addicted as me!!

Christmas Home papers used:

Red Glitter (for the 25 and the background for "tis the Season"

Decor (side B - the Holly) For the base of the project

Notes side A and B - for the ornament - top and bottom

Labels (side B) - for the holly on the sentiment "tis the Season"

Other: Black ink, Black cardstock.

Anyone ready with their December Daily's?? - I'll have to share a bit later...still a work in progress...

So to tied you over, here's a fun layout using the Christmas Home line!

Holiday Home Papers:
Christmas words, Christmas snowflakes (side B),Christmas Decor, Christmas chandelier, Christmas notes, Christmas labels,Christmas Calendar
Misc paper: 2 sheets of Olive green and 3 sheetsof black card stock
Blingagae - Donna's gems
Misc items: ThermOWeb 3D foam squares, corner punch

Prepare you paper:
Trim 1/4 off of top and side of words paper
cut 3.5 strip of side B of Snowflake paper
cut 9.5 x 9.5 of calendar paper
Cut around word "Merry" 2.5 x 2.5 squarefrom notes paper
Cut 2.5x 2.5 square from both decor and chandelierpapers
Cut out the word "decoration from labelspaper.

Assemble:
1. Place word paper onto green card stock
2. Cut a 1/4 strip from black card stock and matthe right side of side b snowflake paper creating a border and attach to leftside of words paper.
3. Mat your red dots paper onto black card stockand again onto green cardstock creating a double mat.
4. Prepare your photo's by trimming to 2.5 x 2.5and place in a grid, corner round the corners once you have decided where youwill want to place your photo's.
5. Mat your photo's and the 2.5 x 2.5 Merry andchandelier paper with black card stock. Attach them to your page leaving 1/8between photo's for your grid.
6. Mat your word decoration onto black card stockand attach to top left of grid with foam squares.
7. Add the black strip of Donna's gems to leftside of page. And Add three to bottom right of "merry" square.

Well so far today my family is thankful that we still have power!! Danny has made sure the generator is ready to go!! Yesterday my morning did not start out as planned and my whole day went a bit sideways and I felt a bit frantic trying to keep everything together. Elisha helped me so much when I got home to help prepare for today's meal, I LOVE that girl so much!! Today is going to be even more special because of all of her efforts. I truly GIVE THANKS to my girl, I am so blessed by her!!

I can't wait for Danny's family to arrive, it smells so good in our home!! On the menu - Turkey, oh my Turkey - tried a new brine from the Pioneer Woman praying I did not mess it up and that it turns out. Ham, Sausage stuffing, soul sweet taters (E is beside her self for these!), broccoli salad, cheesy cauliflower, all the typical sides, oh yes and creamy mashed potatoes...I'm so hungry can you tell??

Christmas Cookies, layout inspiration using Christmas Home

These are the most memorable days, time passes by us so quickly. I love that my friend Jennifer captured this moment with her beautiful girls! I love their aprons and they go perfectly with the Christmas Home collection!! ;)

To recreate this layout:

Holiday Home Papers:
Christmas words, Christmas snowflakes (side B), Christmas Decor, Christmas chandelier (side B), Christmas Notes (side B), Christmas labels, Christmas Calendar
Misc paper: 1 sheet of red and 3 sheets of black card stock
Blingagae - Jamie's gems
Misc items: ThermOWeb 3D foam squares, circle cutter, Red marker.

Cutting your papers:
Cut decor paper 10 1/2 x 9 1/4
Cut chandelier 8.5 x 8.5
Cut notes to 8.5 x 1.5
cut 3 inch circle from side b snowflakes paper
Mat all of the above cut papers onto black card stock

Cut out word "memories" from labels paper and mat onto red card stock.

Assembling your page:
1. Attach decor paper to center of calendar page.
2. Attach chandelier paper to right side of page leaving a 1/2 inch around top, right and bottom.
3. Attach side B Christmas notes paper to lower left approx 1/2 from bottom.
4. Attach photo (mat your photo first to keep the look the same on the layout.)
5. Slide the circle snowflake paper under lower left of photo keeping it centered on your red paper.
6. Center and attach the word "Memories" with 3d foam squares.
7. Color in the word December and outer border dots with red marker.
8. Glue one each of Jamie's gem's alongside Decorative edge of word December.

Deck the Halls - Mini Book

Now that Halloween is over all I can think about are my Christmas decorations and decking the halls, trimming the tree...Peppermint mochas, I'm getting excited for the holidays!!

I have several favorite traditions when it comes to decorating my home. Last year I started taking snapshots of some of my favorite decorations, I wanted to document those things that mean something to me. The memories of what has been passed down from family or something I saved up to purchase to make these memories even fonder.

I was so excited for this line because it is just perfect for me to document my memories. I love all of the patterns in the Christmas Home line! I made this accordion album using 2 sheets of the Notes side b paper, cutting each sheet in half. For the cover score at 4 3/4, 5 1/4 ant trim at 10 inches. For the inside pages score at 4 1/4, 8 1/2. Do this with each sheet. Adhere one 4 1/4 side to cover from one sheet to back side of cover. Flip one the other sheets around and adhere to the back side of the back cover. Adhere your two 3 1/2 flaps to one another, and the last 4 1/4 sheet to the front of the other sheet and your mini album should be ready to decorate. I distressed all the pages and embellishments before assembling the book.

I used the Merry Christmas strip from the die card sheet for the spine. for the scallop I used the border from the sticker sheet and cut it in half and used the "Magic" tab to hide where the border did not reach the top of my page.

When you adhere your pages together leave room to make tags that can slide in and out of your book for extra places to add your journaling.

I sewed the creamy crochet lace to the edges of a few pages using my sewing machine with black thread to give it a more "vintage" feel and my not sewing straight fits the feel of it too!! ;) I also think that using photo corners really finishes off your pictures.

Christmas Home Collection: Notes side B (2 sheets), Labels side B, Snowflakes side B, Adds side B, Decor side A and B, Die Cuts, Brads, Glitter paper, Trims, Stickers. Blingage: Shelly's stars, Collin's Keys, Ali's Pins. Other: Tim Holtz Distress ink - Frayed burlap, Paper reinforcers (used on tags), black paint (used to paint the reinforcers), Cream & Black Card stock, ThermOWeb 3Dfoam squares, Sewing machine, Photo corner punch, stapler.

Haunted Hallows Halloween Layout inspiration

Gosh I am sad that Halloween is almost here!! I have to say I really have the "spooky" bug! I have been decking the halls so to speak with the Haunted Hallows line.

Haunted Hallows paper used:
Chandelier Crows, Calendar, Poison (side B), Witch (side B), Frames (side B), Words.
Haunted Hallows Stamp Set
Misc: Olive Green, light lime green, and black card stock. Black ink, orange and black buttons, photo corner punch, circle cutter, corner rounder, ThermOWeb 3d foam squares.

Preparing your papers:
Cut a 1 1/2 strip of side B of Poison paper.
Cut side B frames paper 7 1/2 x 3
Cut 1 1/4 x 1 3/4 from your chandelier paper (don't cut the crows - just the print part because you will stamp on it)
Cut a 1/2 inch strip from your light lime green paper
Punch 3 photo corners from black card stock

For your Lollies -
1 .Cut a 1 3/4 inch strip from your Chandelier Crows side B paper (this will make both - but do your folds first then cut one 1 inch and the other 3/4 - then you don't have to fold twice)
2. Cut a 1/2 strip of side b witch
3. cut a 1 1/4 strip of side b frames.
4. With your circle cuter: light lime green cut a 1 1/8 and a 2 1/4 circle, from your olive green cut 2 - 1 3/8 and one 1 3/4 circle. from black cut a 3 inch and a 1 1/4 circle. from side b of witch cut a 1 inch circle.

Assembling your page:
1. Add your side b of poison paper to the top of the Words paper.
2. Adhere your light lime green strip abutting the bottom of orange zig zag paper on the left side.
3. Mount your photo onto light lime green paper, mat again onto black card stock and again onto olive green card stock.
4. Attach top of photo to side b of frames paper (the small orange and cream paper) then attach to your page with the dots paper 3/4 from right side.
5. Stamp skull onto light lime green paper, stamp spider onto orange dots and stamp Trick or treat onto chandelier paper.
6. Corner round your the left edges of Trick or treat and Mat your trick or treat onto olive green card stock and corner round edges. Attach to page keeping even with top of olive green mat of photo.
7. Assemble your lollies and attach to page.
8. Attach photo corners to left sides and lower right corner.

Haunted Hallows paper used:
Frames, Words (side B), Chandelier Crows, Spiderweb, Candelabras (side B)
Blingage: Amber's jewels
Haunted Hallows stamp set
Misc: Black, orange, and purple ink. 3 sheets of black card stock, one sheet of red and purple card stock. Cricut Expression and decorative edges cartridge, Black ribbon, ThermOWeb 3d foam squares.

Preparing your page:
1.With your Cricut cut an 11 inch scallop frame from Spider web paper, lay over black card stock and cut border
2. Cut Candelabras paper 9 x 11 5/8 an put on left side of black card stock
3. Cut Frames paper and mat with red card stock and attach for spider web paper
4. Double mat your photo with black and then purple card stock and attach centering onto frames paper and showing the three frames on the left side
5. Cut a strip from side b of Words paper and mat with purple card stock and attach to the right side.
6. Stamp orange pumpkin border into boxes on right. Stamp large spider in upper right of words strip. Stamp witch onto scrap and punch out just the silhouette with a circle puch and place in a circle frame and mat with another circle from scraps.
7. Cut the decorative border off at the bottom of Chandelier crows, fold your strip to create your lollie and attach your witch center.
8. Attach your ribbon between your words strip and your scallop page.
9. Attach your lollie.
10. Attach the word "halloween" using 3d foam squares.

Haunted Hallows papers used:
Calendar;both sides, Chandelier Crows (side B), Poison (side B), Candelabras (both sides), Damask (side B), Spiderweb (both sides)
Haunted Hallows Stamp set
Misc: 2 sheets of each - Green and black card stock, ThermOWeb 3d foam squares.

prepare your page:
Cut out "calendar" frame (set the calendar part aside)
Cut green 10.5 x 10.5
Cut Damask side B 10 1/4 x 10 1/4
Cut two strips from spiderweb paper: 1/2 x 7 and 1 1/4 x 7
Crop October off of calendar to 8 x 1 1/4 (keeping web on right side)
Cut poison paper (side B) 1 1/4 x 7
Cut black card stock 10 1/4 x 7 3/8
Cut 10 1/4 x 1 inch strip from calendar paper
Cut Chandelier paper 1 x 10 1/4 slide under left side
Cut out "Scary" and mat on black card stock
Cut green card stock 5 1/4 by 7

Assembling your page:
1. Use one of your black card stock pages as your base
2. Adhere the calendar frame.
3. Adhere damask paper side b to green card stock and center into middle of page allowing small black border from your base to show through
4. Adhere your photo onto your green card stock with border at top and bottom
5. Adhere spider web paper strip to top of black card stock leaving 1/4 border along sides.
6. Adhere photo under spiderweb strip
7. Adhere October under photo keeping left side even with strip
8. Adhere side b poison zig zag strip under October
9. Adhere side b paper strip under zig zag paper.
10. Adhere black dots under left side of black card stock (with all your layers)
11. adhere spider strip under right side of black card stock (with all your layers.)
12. Adhere your black card stock with all of your layers onto your page leaving a one inch border along left side.
13. Attach "Scary" using 3D foam squares to upper left of photo area.
14. Stamp the smallest spider stamp randomly on right side of October on the web and just under the letters O and C and once on lower right of zig zag strip.

Necklace tutorial using the Teresa Collins Stampmaker

Are you ready to take your Teresa Collins Stampmaker to the next level??? Here's a little something that is a ton of fun and has HUGE impact. Once you make one, you will be making these for all of your friends - or at least be the envy of!! ✿

Although I would love to take credit for this idea it is not my original idea - I had seen it on a blog where they took their images and had them made but when you own your own Teresa Collins Stampmaker you can make them yourself.

Your going to create your image in the same fashion as you would for stenciling. However, if you are creating a monogram you will have to "flip" your image as I did. You will need to measure your necklace frame - both the opening of the frame and the interior width, which is what the dark square around the monogram is, I'll tell you the importance of that in a bit but the black part of the square is the difference in the opening and the interior part of the frame. This also gives you the dimension of your image or monogram in my case.

When you "cook" your image, instead of cooking it for the three minutes you are accustomed to when you create a stamp you are only going to cook it for two minutes - otherwise your image will not be recessed enough, trust me this took me a minute (or a few image pacs) to figure out...

Trim your edges away just as you normally do. You can tell you have a great image when you peel away that top piece and can see the image real clearly.

Wash your image just like normal.

Set your image just like you do for a stamp, for the full two minutes.

Next, you want to trim around the outer part of your square - this will create a "LIP" for your stamp to sit perfectly into the necklace frame. So only trim the outer, NOT the inner part of that square.

You can paint the back any color you want, I was experimenting and added some GENTRY's GLITTER into my paint.

Next you want to paint over your image and wipe away, you will end up doing this in a few layers... This does take time, I found using damp q-tips helps clean it up as you go. I also found that chocolate helps during this process. ✿ It takes practice and a little patience but the results are worth all the effort and by the time you do your third one you'll be a pro at it. I had a little extra time and added some glue and then a layer of Gentry's glitter to this one - I'm totally loving it!!

Next you will want to seal your creation with clear sealer - I think I picked it up at the hardware store for just a few bucks. OK, you should just know this as well, when your experimenting you should let everything dry completely before adding your sealer - some of the glitter went flying when I sprayed the sealer... I still love it so it's all good.

Once dry go ahead and put them in your frame. In real life you can see those flecks really do sparkle...

Teresa Collins Stampmaker - my projects used for HSN/CHAs 2011

I'm so very excited to finally get to share with you all the projects I had made with the Stampmaker for Teresa's HSN event and CHA 2011s.

This is just a little charm bracelet, The background image is also stamped.

Here are the same stamps used to create this necklace.

Did you know you could also emboss with the machine? I used the same image to create two different results, this one is the embossed:

And here is the same image used but made into a stamp rather than an embossing plate to make this necklace and another card.

I love this one, did you know you can make a photo or drawing into a stamp? I love this, think about the possibilities - baby's feet, your child's hand writting or drawing...the possibilities are so endless with this machine! The yellow background is also a stamp that comes with the machine and I use it all of the time.

ahhh, last but not least - my new addiction - I love making these necklaces... It's not my original idea and I will share a tutorial with you soon on how you can make these too, it will blow your mind and take your machine to a. whole. new. level.

Teresa Collins ON THE EDGE and Punky Sprouts - Steampunk'd Album

When I saw this album by Punky Sprouts called Steampunk'd my mind said YES!!! I knew this album was just beyond perfect to use with the On The Edge line by Teresa Collins.

I want to give Punky Sprouts a great big shout out because I am a HUGE fan of their albums and how fun they all are to create with!! So please take a moment to visit their blog for items and inspiration.

Supplies:
Core’dinations; On The Edge Papers: Words, Gears, Shields, Distress Dots, Plaid, Shield Star transparency & Tags. Trims, Stamps, Brads, Die Cut Card Set & Elements.
Blingage: Matt’s Wings.
Other: Steampunk'd album by Punky Sprouts. Sand paper, edge distressed. Light blue paint. Therm O Web 3D Foam squares and velum runner. Black archival ink.

Instructions:
Paint your page binding edges in light blue (totally optional, I just like the look.)

Preparing your page components:
From On The Edge Core Amour Gears paper: cut fronts (both the small and large gear page) of album (trace then cutting is way easier.) also cut 6 1/8 x 9 for back cover and adhere.
Shields paper: cut backs of both small and large gear pages and adhere.
Shields Transparency paper, cut 4 1/8 x 9 and adhere to back of acrylic page using velum runner.
Distress Dots paper, trace the ledger paper side for both front and back of dress form page and adhere.
Plaid paper, cut the fronts of the scroll pages (picture not shown.) (I used the solid blue side, not the plaid side.) and adhere.
Gear paper: cut the gray gear paper strategically with the gears in the lower left of back side of the two scroll pages. Then use remaining and cut 6 1/8 x 9 for inside of back cover, And adhere.

Now that your paper bases are all down, sand all the edges. I found that a nail file worked great on the gears pages.

Assembling your page:

I started with Stamping:
Using the “Gear” Stamp, stamp w/black ink on your two gear papers; Go crazy just where you think you need some more “punch”. Flip your gear pages over and stamp the upper (small gear) gear page 3 times and create a grouping (it does work best if you make some masks – you know, stamp on a scratch piece of paper and cut it out so you can overlay your stamps) Then Stamp once on your big gear in lower left. Now, skip all the way to the canvas page and create another grouping in upper right with three and one in lower left. Then do the same on the back but alternate your corners. Then flip to the scroll page 2 back and stamp in the center of the large gear. Now with the word “evidence” I stamped the word just below the center line of the blue shield circular tag 9your going to add a brad so be careful not to go to high.)

This would be a great time to add Matt’s wings to the back of the dress form neck. You’ll want to use a really awesome liquid glue so they stick real well. It’s ok if it gets all mess, we’ll cover it up soon enough. It helps to keep them in place with some clothes pins or clamps as they are drying.

So, let’s get started on your cover, Punch out the blue “Remember Shield”, “good times, blue and white label (add some silver brads to the label if you choose), cut out a couple of words from the words paper, I used “real” “fun”. Now connect your two gear pages together, so they become one great big gear page. From the chipboard elements use the small gray one, add a brad of choice to the center and glue them to the center of the “remember “shield tag. Adhere your “good times” to your label (I used foam squares) and attach to your page. Now with foam squares attach your shield just over lapping both the small and large gear. Add your other two words of choice under “good times” lining up the right edges.

Inside cover: attach the gear boarder strip about an inch from the right side. Attach a brad of your choice to one of the upper gears. (When I say attach, I mean cut your ends off and glue them on.) Add your photo. Cut another word of choice and add under lower right of photo using foam squares.

Transparency page: Cut two photos of same size and adhere one to each side. Punch out black tab and adhere over lapping photos and transparency. Also add a word of choice above upper left of photo.

Dress form page front: Add a photo, create a “gear” grouping with three chipboard gear elements in lower left, Layer them and add a brad in the center of one. Add a word of choice from word paper below photo.

Dress form back: OK back to the shield tag, finish it off by adding a large brad of choice and adhere covering wings using foam dots, make sure it doesn’t show from the front and that your word is even. Add your photo.

Canvas front: (This is the same as the canvas back – so repeat.) Add two smaller brads and adhere them to the centers of stamped “gear” images. Add photo, cut a word of choice to fit width of page and border (adhere to your border or matt using foam squares, add blue ribbon and then attach to page.

Scroll pages, upper and lower, I just matted photos and attached to these pages. (I did add another brad to the center of the back stamped gear.)

For the last page adhere your photo. Add a large black brad in 2nd to the top right row of gears. Add another word or two of choice from words paper and you’re all done.

This is a super awesome album that was just perfect for the ON THE EDGE paper line. Could be used for girls as shown and boys, I just love it!

Getting So Excited, Teresa will be on HSN selling the Stampmaker machine again. It sells out quickly!! I'm even more excited because I was able to make a few things for her appearance. I think just seeing something I made on TV is a little over the top exciting!! :)

Baby album, I love it when friends have babies!

I love making baby albums so much! I have been collecting bits and pieces to make this album for months. I love all of the ribbons in this album. I made dozens of layered flowers, dyed them all and rolled all the petals, they are so sweet and soft from being dyed! I used the perfect shade of pink/red glaze and patiently painted several embellishments.

These paper collections go so well together: I used Teresa Collins Chic Babe Girl for all of the base pages and accents, along with her Bella Girl line and some pieces from Crush. I paired these up with My Minds Eye's Lost and Found - Princess, Pretty and Happily Ever After. I did add some red border strips and a few red accents. Seriously, these all go so well together!

Congratulations on your new baby girl Clarissa!! So happy for you!!

Addicted to flowers - Tutorial

I adore this cute little wall hook picked up from Ben Franklin.

“Decorative Wall Hook”

Featuring: Teresa Collins Designs – Timeless, Blingage & Blingage II

Supplies:

Labels paper, flocked paper, gray damask, decorative brads, chipboard elements, die cut card set, Gentry’s glitter, Donna’s gems. Wood Door hook, Claudine Hellmuth studio matte, hot glue, 1.5 inch chipboard circle.

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

Cut the following pieces from your papers:

● Cut back side of labels paper to size for your door hook plaque, 7.5 x 3.5

● Cut flocked paper strips for outer edge in half inch strips.

● Punch out black tag from die cut card set sheet.

● Punch out quote in pink oval from chipboard elements.

For flower:

· Cut 14 flower petals out of gray damask as shown in photos.

Brush studio matte around edges
Dip in Gentry’s glitter around glued edges – let dry all the way.

Roll petals around a pen

Gently unroll petals and place them facing the same direction so your petals all match. Hot glue a puddle onto the middle of your chipboard circle and start layering your petals in a circle.

Add another puddle of hot glue in the center and layer your 2^nd layer of petals overlapping your first layer.
After glue is all dry pierce hole in center

· Place brad in center.

Assembly

Glue back of labels paper to front of plaque.
Glues strips of flocked paper to edges of plaque.
Glue the black tag onto the labels paper – just a bit off center.
Hot glue your flower to the black tag.
Peel off sticky backing from chipboard quote and place in bottom right – just overlapping the bottom of the black tag.
Measure and cut length from black gems from the Donna’s Gems (Blingage II) place along both the top and bottom of plaque.

I find that I am now looking at every piece of damask paper in a new way now, I just love making these flowers. Hope you will too!

I love what you can do with the 12x12 Notations papers by Teresa Collins Designs

I love everything you can do with these papers! You can leave them in their original state to create a Stunning layout or you can some color to make it pop! Here are two examples I created for you to see them both ways!

Here is the layout in the paper's natural state: This layout means so much, it is a photo of Danny's Grandfather, I love this photo of him.

Supplies:

Paper: Take Note, Alphabet (2 sheets), Rulers, Music, Tags,

Blingage: Zachs Bookplate

Misc: Black cardstock, black paint, Thermoweb 3d foam squares, numbers from Notations Kit.

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

Cut the following pieces from your papers:

· Punch out the letters POP from the alphabet paper.

· Matt the word “pop” on black cardstock and place on far left of large oval frame from the tags paper.

· Cut the strip of fleur de lis from the side B of Music paper and matt the stip in black cardstock.

· Matt your photo on Black Cardstock.

· Cut the bottom piece from the top of the words Remember this off of the Take note paper

· Paint Zachs Book plate with black paint and rub off as much as you can before it dries.

Assembling your page:

1. Adhere photo to the Ruller paper

2. Adhere the Fleur de lis strip 1 inch from top

3. Place framed word pop on the right – cut the part off that overhangs – line up the last “P” even with the edge of right side of page. Adhere to page using 3d foam squares.

4. Adhere the remember this that you cut out from the take note paper to bottom of page.

5. Using the numbers from the notations kit center along the bottom strip of take notes paper.

6. Place Zach’s book plate over the date.

Here is the second layout with lots of color:

Supplies:

Paper: Damask (2 sheets), Music, Tags,

Blingage: Black Brad from Sports Edition II, Donna’s Gems

Misc: Black cardstock, Cream cardstock, Grey/blue Cardstock Thermoweb 3d foam squares, numbers from Notations Kit. Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, Barn Door. Numbers from Notations Kit.

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

Cut the following pieces from your papers:

· Cut 1/8 from all sides of Damask paper.

· Cut out “memories” from Tag Paper and matt onto black cardstock

· Double Matt your photo – once in black(3/8) and then in cream (1/8)

· Punch out bird journal card from tags paper.

· Punch out photo corners from music paper

· Cut dot strip from the side b of music paper

· Cut harlequin strip from bottom of your 2^nd page of damask paper

· Choose your date numbers and matt onto black cardstock.

Inking your Damask page and bird journal tag (optional)

Page: I only inked about two inches along top and bottom and an inch on the sides. Start on the edges moving inward using dried marigold. Using a small amount around edges only (not moving in on the page with the ink – just giving the edge some color) I used Barn Red… a little goes a long way so easy does it. Then I used worn lipstick to blend the barn red and orange to give that gradient look from the red to orange. I did the same thing on the tag just in smaller doses.

Assembling your page:

1. Adhere your matted photo to the center of your page.

2. Adhere the small dots strip along the top of the matted photo. (cut the strip to length.

3. Adhere the harlequin strip to the bottom (cut the strip to length.)

4. Adhere your journaling tag to bottom right of page.

5. Using the 3d foam squares add your date to your journaling tag, also adhere your Memories with the foam squares to the top left keeping the left side even with your photo.

6. Add your large black brad to the right of the words Memories

7. Cut three of the black gems from Donna’s gems and place onto the harlequin (I spaced mine every other one)

8. Adhere entire layout to cardstock.

Pinterest a website like no other, can you say eye candy??

If you haven't heard the buzz about Pinterest, let me tell you, this is a website like no other. The functionality is like nothing I've ever seen before.

Have you ever been reading an article, tutorial, blog and copied and saved it to your computer for future reference? Saved a picture to your computer because it just inspires you? How about a quote that motivates you? How about really awesome food recipes? (I have friends that have files for breakfast lunch, dinner, salad, desert, kids treats) what a truly amazing way to stay organized! One of the other great features is that you can see what your friends are pinning - I mean we all have similar taste as our friends right? so when I see something that they have "pinned" I can re-pin it too! Love that!!

This web site is by invitation - if you don't have Pinterest leave me a comment with youremailaddressdotcom in the comments section and I'd be happy to send you an invite. I have heard you can go right to the site and request an invite but it takes days. You don't want to wait, trust me.

It works a little like your documents, you can create folders called "boards" in pinterest and when you see something on the internet, you can save the file image with the original link to one of your boards from anywhere on the internet. It is amazing!!

What a weekend...

There has been so much going on, Not sure where to even start here.

Lets see, did you know that I was published for the very first time? I was!! So excited!!

Here is the magazine, it's a special edition called Creative Spaces, I have a spot in the decorate your space, it's a wall calendar using the Giving Thanks line by Teresa Collins. (ps, her space is in the magazine too! Go get a copy here)

Memorial weekend, well lets just say it will probably be my most memorable! I was slicing an onion and then the top of my pinky finger. Yeah, ouch! I won't show you the fun pictures we took, like the one of watching the blood pulsate as my heart was beating...that after many many hours of appyling presure we were still managing to keep the bleeding down, that how on Monday my husband was ready to take me to the ER so we could sit there for hours to have the doctors tell us that they can't do anything because there is nothing to stitch to. I must say, a few days later, the bleeding has stopped. And thanks to Denise (a big thank you girlfriend) has helped us with keeping it clean and bandaged properly. Now to just figure out how to keep from banging it on things, lol!! and the pain...is getting better... (thank you Nana!)

Speaking of Nana's, My grandmother that I have mentioned here and here, passed away over the holiday weekend too. I just was told today. We all knew it was coming, but still, it's a shock, she was in her 90's. She lived a long full life and she was ready, I'm happy for her, no more pain. Still it's a shock.

Layout using Teresa Collins On The Edge and Core'dinations

I am loving this line On the Edge by Teresa Collins Designs, It has so much to play with! I'm getting a kick out of the stamps too! I love that Ty's Stars fit perfectly inside the stamped star images.

The Core'dinations paper when sanded reveals a matching blue, I'm so loving these papers!

Supplies:

Core’dinations; On The Edge Papers: Words, Guitar, Griffin paper, Plaid & Tags, Trims, Stamps, Brads, Die Cut Card Set & Elements. Blingage: Ty’s Stars. Misc: Sand paper, sewing machine w/black thread, edge distresser.

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

1. Cut Guitar paper 6.5 x4.5

2. Cut Plaid paper 9.5 x 4 ¾

3. Cut a strip of stars from the tags (back side) paper and trim to 9 inches

4. Cut top of Griffin paper 7 ¾ x 1 ½

5. Cut out from words paper Genuine and Boy

6. Punch out from Die Cut Card Set: all boy and star sheild tag

7. With your edge distresser, distress around all edges of items 1-6.

Assembling your page:

Sand your paper revealing blue Fleur Di Li's

● Adhere your 4x6 photo to back side of guitars paper.

● Adhere your photo with border to plaid paper 7/16 from left edge of plaid paper centering vertically on paper and adhere plaid paper to your Core’dinations base paper with right sides even.

● Adhere stars strip one inch from left side of paper abutting the bottom of your plaid paper.

● Adhere Griffin paper even with left side of stars paper also abutting the bottom of stars.

● Adhere word genuine 1 ½ from left side of paper overlapping bottom of griffin paper ¼ inch, leaving a space adhere the word boy to the right of genuine.

● Adhere star shield tag ½ inch from right side of plaid paper overlapping the upper right of your photo.

● cut a 2inch length of blue ribbon from the trims paper and fold in half and tuck under the photo mat ¼ inch below the star shield tag.

● Adhere the tag All Boy a ¼ inch from the right of photo matt and ¼ below the ribbon.

Stamping:

Stamp double star in black ink with the top of the star ½ inch from top of top right page three times.

Stamp inside the crest frame on lower right of paper over the inner star creating a black outline.

Stamp the word all boy even with the top of your plaid paper five times.

Sewing:

Stitch ¼ from right side on plaid paper starting and ending on your base paper.

Stitch ⅛ inch from edge of stars and griffin paper and the left side of the word genuine

Stitch along upper edge of genuine and boy starting above the 2nd letter N in Genuine and ending just before the B in boy.

Stitch along upper left side of plaid paper starting on base paper.

Adhere Blue and Grey chipboard Star Element and place over third star from left below photo.

Blingage:

Adhere Ty’s stars in center of stamped stars and on top of chipboard element star.

Brad:

punch hole in paper ½ inch from the left side of genuine and insert blue on blue star brad.

Trim:

Adhere black bead trim around bottom left corner: 1 ¾ on left side and then a strip 7 ½ along bottom, don’t try to do this with out cutting the strips and adhering them, because they are beads and so small you won’t be able to achieve a crisp corner - it will turn out rounded.

Card inspiration using Core'dinations, POSH and TC Stampmaker

I am loving the coordinating card stock by Teresa Collins called Core Amour by Core'dinations! It is embossed paper that you can sand to reveal other colors. This one reveals the color pink when sanded. So cool!

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

1. Punch out the following from the die cut card set paper: pink tab, pink mini damask tag, large grey and white tag, grey and black tag.
2. Punch out pink butterfly from chipboard elements
3. Cut one rosette from black flower trim
4. Create your thank you and thanks stamps with TC Stampmaker

Assembling your page:

Fold paper in half and sand paper revealing pink damask pattern.
Stamp Thanks along top of pink tab and fold in half.
Fold large grey tag in half and adhere pink tab to top left.
Stamp thank you to tight of grey and black floral tag
layer grey and black thank you onto pink tag on an angle
Punch hole in upper right corner of pink tag and add grey and black damask brad.
Adhere Thank you/pink tags to right side of large grey tag that you folded in half earlier.
Adhere your thank you layers to upper left of card on an angle
adhere black flower to your layers on lower left.
adhere your pink polka dot chipboard butterfly on middle left side of card in opposite direction of butterfly in lower right corner.
Punch hole in card just left of tower and add large black brad.
Add a dot of black diamond stickels every ¼ inch around top, right and bottom of card.

I love a quick and easy thank you card!
