Supplies:

Labels paper, flocked paper, gray damask, decorative brads, chipboard elements, die cut card set, Gentry’s glitter, Donna’s gems. Wood Door hook, Claudine Hellmuth studio matte, hot glue, 1.5 inch chipboard circle.

Instructions:

Preparing your page components:

1. Cut the following pieces from your papers:

●      Cut back side of labels paper to size for your door hook plaque, 7.5 x 3.5

●      Cut flocked paper strips for outer edge in half inch strips.

●      Punch out black tag from die cut card set sheet.

●      Punch out quote in pink oval from chipboard elements.

2. For flower:

·         Cut 14 flower petals out of gray damask as shown in photos.

• Brush studio matte around edges
• Dip in Gentry’s glitter around glued edges – let dry all the way.

• Roll petals around a pen

• Gently unroll petals and place them facing the same direction so your petals all match. Hot glue a puddle onto the middle of your chipboard circle and start layering your petals in a circle.

• Add another puddle of hot glue in the center and layer your 2^nd layer of petals overlapping your first layer.
• After glue is all dry pierce hole in center

·         Place brad in center.

Assembly

1. Glue back of labels paper to front of plaque.
2. Glues strips of flocked paper to edges of plaque.
3. Glue the black tag onto the labels paper – just a bit off center.
4. Hot glue your flower to the black tag.
5. Peel off sticky backing from chipboard quote and place in bottom right – just overlapping the bottom of the black tag.
6. Measure and cut length from black gems from the Donna’s Gems (Blingage II) place along both the top and bottom of plaque.

I find that I am now looking at every piece of damask paper in a new way now, I just love making these flowers. Hope you will too!

Mini Album with Timeless, Your Story Book and Cricut Expression

I love these photo's of my girlfriends' daughter. She's just a little cutie pie. About the time I recieved the photo's I also received my "Your Story" book system and I was dying to play with it.


As you know I love mini albums and I was very excited to pair up the "TIMELESS" & "BLINGAGE" collections with the 8x8 YOURSTORY book. I created each page using the ELEGANT EDGES Cricut Expression Cartridge. I love that I was also able to create matching borders, frames and Silhouettes using the same cartridge. The Elegant Edges cartridge features a "Book Template" which is what used to create this mini album. 

On the cover I created the cute stamped border using the "Timeless" matching stamp set. I stamped my first row then flipped the stamp around and stamped the second row to create the damask border. I added a spot of glue and added Gentry's glitter to the center. I layered the pieces and added dimension with ThermOWeb's 3D foam squares.

I used the Blingage Alphabet stamp letter H inside the Timeless frame and added Gentry's Glitter and popped it up above the border strips using foam squares too!

I love this Scallop page, it's perfect with the Timeless paper!

There are so many uses with this Elegant Edges cartridge, it's my most used to date!! I created the clock scallop circle using it too!

Clearly I love scallops and circles and the Timeless papers are just perfect for this! I separated 3 pearls from "Donna's Gems" blingage strips and added them to the scallop circle edge to pull the circles all together.

I layered Zach's book plate over one of the Timeless pre-printed tags to make it look wider and even more elegant then added the word "Lovely" using the 3D foam squares to pop it out of the book plate.

This book was so much fun to create! It was so easy to create using the Elegant Edges Cartridge and all the choices it offers! I can't wait to create another "Your Story" book after trying my hand with this one I am inspired to create so many more... I have an idea for trying my had at creating an art journal with it too!

CHA Winter Release from Teresa Collins Designs, New TIMELESS

I'm really excited about this 5th release, it's called TIMELESS by Teresa Collins Designs. From hues of Grey's, black and petal soft pinks. So very pretty!! There are four FLOCKED papers in this line. Stamps, Ribbons, Brads, DieCuts, Chipboard elements, transparency, album covers. Lots of goodness!!
