Teresa Collins Free Style Layout and something to do with your scraps

Have I told you how much I love the Free Style Line???

I used the back of the words paper as my base layer and inked it different areas with orange. Then I added the pink zebra transparency, laid down some misc. ribbon, punched out some flower petals inking the edges in pink and giving a few of the dots some glitter. Layered the flower with words cut out and inked edges, the clock with the word You. I matted the frame with the crown paper and of course used some stickles for the crown jewels. And lastly framed it in the matching zebra in the orange.

I Finally hung my pictures in the hall way leading to my scrapbook room. It looks so great to have something to greet me on my way to my happy place. I got the frames from the dollar store. I consolidated all of my smaller scraps to punch the butterflies.

I couldn't figure out for the longest time how I wanted to hang all 12 of the frames. So, in the end with some help from Elisha we decided they would hang up in groups of fours with an inch of space between each frame. Since neither of us are really great with our math skills and they ended up with no space between them! I think that it looks great and I'm even more happy to not pass by them with them sitting on the floor any longer waiting to be hung up.

Mini Album *Teresa Collins - Free Style*

Oh how I love this line, FREESTYLE! so bright and fun! I have a new LOVE for Pink and Orange. It's not just for girls either, you can see how I incorporated boy pictures too!

Here I used silver stickles to accent the crowns and a Gelly Roll Clear Star pen by Sakura on the Beautiful, You and Princess (shown below) Tags.

I really love how the black star transparency pulls the page together and is a great contrast. With that I felt it was a great place to add the picture of Will as it goes so well with the black and white photo's.

Love Love Love this paper! I inked the edges of many of the elements and pages using Spiced Marmalade.

We picked Brittney up last night and we are on our way to scrap the day away! I can't wait to see what her and E come up with for their CK Teen Talent Search submissions! It's going to be a fun day! ~Cheri

Playing around...

Catching up on my google reader this morning I saw some cute little charm necklaces and it got me to thinking about these old optical lenses I had picked up some time ago and wanted to make a little necklace or something with them.

I really did go upstairs with every intention of organizing some of my embellishments and got a little side tracked once I found where I had put those lenses. After playing around for a bit this is what I came up with:

It's double sided for what ever mood I'm in.

I simply cut circles out of the
Free Style Damask paper:

FR1604 Damask - A

And cut matching circles from the Giving Thanks Labels transparencies:

GT1712 Labels Transparecies

I LOVE these transparency words, I have even glittered them, "blinged" them, and colored them.

If you've ever been hesitant of using transparencies try starting out on a small scale like I did with my necklace. It really helps open the door for creating something unique and hopefully you'll find a new love for transparencies!  ~Cheri
